The Life Of Something Not Living

The silver threads danced with each other intertwining to form a cord, tiny links that seemed invisible to the eye, allowing for sturdy lifestyle’s. The metal koi that flowed from the chains end seemed to swim in mid-air as it hung obsolete from the world only ever knowing the warmth of a women’s bosom rather than the liquid coolness of water. Time became heavy around it and the world grew dark. It lay in the dirt rusty and unpolished the warm humming air of the ship above it. The unfamiliar clicks of something foreign communicating. The ship thundered into life its engines bellowing fire, setting the ground ablaze as it began its slow climb into the battle streaked sky above.
